Automatic Rent Payment
Automatic rent payment saves you time and money, eliminates checks and postage, ensures timely rent payments, and builds credit. Here are some commonly asked questions:
1.) How does it work?
After you submit your enrollment materials, you will be set up to have your rents debited.If you provide your e-mail address, you will receive a rent reminder every month, and you can enroll to have your rent payments reported to credit bureaus.
2.) Is it safe?
YES! All consumer electronic funds transfers are protected by the Electronic Funds Transfer Act of 1978. You are required to be notified of rent amount changes prior to your debits. Over half of our residents are currently using this method of paying rent, so join in!
3.) What if I have insufficient funds?
If you know you will not have sufficient funds before your debit day (the 1st of every month), then contact us to see if your debit can be stopped. If you do not contact in advance, then you may incur a $15 penalty fee by the electronic debit company, as well as bounced check/ late fees from us. Your bank may charge as well, so please make sure to always have sufficient funds.
4.)What if I don't want to sign up?
If you do not want to enjoy the benefits of the Automatic Rent Payment option, you can still pay by check. However, you will not receive the $20/month advertised discount per month. Please add $20 to any advertised rental rate.
